Seminar: Social Security, Tax and Financial Planning for Expats in China
October 17, 2018 / 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm UTC+8
Experts of Ecovis R&G Consulting and Expatriate Care Consult GmbH will inform you about the best possible protection and planning regarding tax, social security and personal finance. Against the background of the 2018 income tax reform in China, this seminar shows ways to optimize income taxes and personal financial planning.
In case of a long-term employment in China, a large number of questions present themselves to German and other foreign employees regarding the employment relationship, the best contract design and resulting insurance questions. After the participation in the Chinese social insurance system became mandatory for foreigners in 2012, these issues already became more complex. With the new income tax law, which was fundamentally reformed this year, more significant changes are ahead for expatriate employees. In particular, the newly introduced tax residency concept and new regulations on tax deductibles require appropriate adjustments in the design of employment contracts and possibly the adjustment of remuneration of foreign employees in China.
Our seminar will show ways in which employment relationships can be optimized against the background of social security law and the new tax law, and how expatriates can secure themselves adequately and sustainably for a long-term stay in China and a return to Germany.
