Seminar: Social Security, Tax and Financial Planning for Expatriates in China
October 15, 2019 / 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC+8
Every expatriate has to deal with tax and social insurance matters related to the assignment abroad and how it affects one’s financial planning. Dealing with different taxation regimes and social insurance systems is challenging. At the same time, optimizing the tax and social insurance arrangements can make a big difference both for the expatriate’s financial situation and the employer’s costs. And it is important to identify potential shortcomings in the coverage to be able to address them.
Since 2012, inclusion in the Chinese social security system became mandatory for foreigners employed in China. The 2019 Individual Income Tax reform additionally brought many changes for foreign employees in China, some of which will only take full effect in the coming years.
The German Centre Beijing together with Ecovis Beijing and Expatriate Care Consult invite you to join our event informing you about the best possible planning and protection regarding tax, social security, and personal finance. This seminar will point out ways to optimize income taxes and personal financial planning for various employment scenarios ranging from assignment to local contract. Our speakers will explain how expatriates can secure themselves adequately and sustainably for either a short or a long-term stay in China and how to be best prepared for a return to Germany.
