SUMMARY:Seminar: Personnel Management in China
DESCRIPTION:Seminar – Personnel Management in China – 14. Feb. 2019 Stuttgart\nPersonnel management in China is one of the biggest challenges for foreign companies doing business in China. For many western companies\, the labor market in China\, with its pronounced dynamics\, cultural specifics and pitfalls\, poses great challenges. There is often a lack of a well developed strategy on how to shape domestic work processes in China and how to attract\, develop and retain suitable talents for the company. \nIn particular\, the shortage of skilled labor\, the challenge of HR management\, the retention of employees and the rising labor costs in China are the biggest hurdles faced by German companies. At the DCW seminar “Personnel Management in China”\, experts will provide efficient strategies for employee recruitment\, long-term retention and compliance in personnel management and identify possible solutions to adress these problems. \nCompliance in personnel management has been gaining in importance for quite some time. Our Senior Manager Manuela Reintgen will explain in her presentation\, which measures for team building should be considered and which rights and obligations exist towards the employees who are not loyal to the company. In addition\, she will further explain the current legal framework of compliance management in China\, which guidelines and codes of practice should be established in the company\, and to what extent it is possible to ensure that employees and management behave in accordance with the law. She will also outline what penalties and measures the company may face\, if corruption-prone activites  are revealed \,and how they can be prevented. \nAbout the speaker\nManuela Reintgen (Senior Manager Business Development & Marketing) \nManuela Reintgen is heading our Business Development and Marketing department. Manuela lived and worked in China from 2009 to 2017 and currently advises clients in- and outside of China from our Heidelberg office.
