2018 Sino-German SME Cooperation and Communication Conference
The 2018 Sino-German SME Cooperation and Communication Conference (SMEC 2018) from 31. Otc. 2018 to 2.Nov.2018 will be held in Jinan, capital city of Shandong province, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the People’ Government of Shandong Province and the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
The SMEC 2018 is a platform for sharing ideas and presenting the cutting-edge scientific and technical advances among experts and professions in intelligent manufacturing and automation. Moreover, during the conference, all participants will have the chance of meeting superior government representatives and approaching investment possibilities.
Sub-forum: Invest in Germany: Opportunities for Chinese Enterprise Going Abroad
Additionally, on the second day of the conference (1.Nov.2018), the sub-forum “Invest in Germany: Opportunities for Chinese Enterprises Going Abroad”, organised by DCW (Deutsch-Chinesische Wirtschaftsvereinigung E.V.) will be held with a view to supporting Chinese companies that are planning to cooperate with German companies or to expand their business into the German market. At the forum, legal, tax and finance experts will give comprehensive insights around the German market, from M&A, German immigration law and labour law, to protection of intellectual property rights.
Our head of legal, Mr. Brad Liu, will give a speech at the forum on topics like German immigration law, German residence permit & visa and German labour law.

Mr. Brad Liu
Brad Liu has more than 10 years’ experience in the corporate and legal field. Prior to joining ECOVIS, Brad headed the Beijing corporate services team of a mid-tier international accounting and business advisory firm. He has been advising international SMEs from US, Europe and ASEAN countries in doing business in China. His main expertise includes market entry and incorporation advisory, holding structure, M&A, ICP, Intellectual Property Rights as well as ongoing legal and corporate compliance matters. He also advises Chinese companies, including some major Chinese state-owned companies, in doing business overseas.
