The next ChaVent will take place on November 14, starting from 5pm at the German Centre Beijing DRC Liangmaqiao. This time, .CPC and ECOVIS Beijing, a leading expert in legal advice, tax, accounting and audit in China, will join forces, bringing together experts and practitioners from different sectors and industries to exchange on Digital Transformation in the context of company steering and accounting.
This particular ChaVent will focus on opportunities and challenges for SMEs in China in the age of cloud-based ERP solutions, specifically on how to leverage efficiencies and bring company steering to the next level. Opportunities: increased efficiency and improved productivity and processes
The integrated information an ERP system provides can form the basis for many positive changes, including streamlined processes and efficiency gains, better collaboration among different units of an organization and better financial reporting and forecasting – all of which can effectively save a company time and money.
Challenges: Finding the right solution, and mastering the transition process
To fully realize the potential for organizational change and increased efficiency, the selection process of a ERP platform solution and the transition to a the new platform needs to be planned and executed thoroughly.
Grace will share her experience on why and how to make the change to a cloud-based ERP system, including the selection process of an ERP tool, how to align the IT, business, finance and management aspects of such a project and how to set up the process for success. Grace will also introduce solutions available in the Chinese market, like Oracle NetSuite and others.

Keynote Speaker: Michael Babilon-Teubenbacher, General Manager of CPC Consulting (Beijing) Ltd.
Having graduated in International Business Administration from the IMC Krems and having spent most of the past two decades outside of his home country Austria, he truly is a global citizen. Apart from project assignments in Japan, Spain, the Netherlands and Australia he spent five years in China to ramp-up and lead the local subsidy of .CPC Group. In his more than 15 years of consulting he gained in-depth experience in Transformation-, Strategy Definition- as well as Organizational Growth projects. Michael is Certified Systemic Business Coach, Scrum Master as well as trainer for Project Management and Leadership Development. Also he is a certified EFQM assessor and trainer, thus promoting Business Excellence in Europe, China and beyond.
Grace Shi, Partner at ECOVIS Beijing
Grace has more than 15 years of experience in accounting, auditing and tax advisory services, with a strong understanding not only of Chinese and international accounting standards, but also business models and internal control systems of different entities.
Grace is a Chinese Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2001 and a Chinese Certified Taxation Agent (CTA) since 2002 and holds an international MBA and a US Global Finance Master degree.
Grace often speaks at or hosts events on Sino-German business related topics. She is a board member of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Beijing. Before founding ECOVIS Beijing, Grace headed an international professional services firm in Beijing for six years and was CFO of a local company with more than 1000 employees.
